Engineered Garments Bike Jacket (Grey Herringbone)

Here is the latest release from US based Engineered Garments and certainly our favorite piece from the brand this winter. This jacket ticks all the boxes for us. Top features include the knitted hand warmers which can be rolled back to form a ribbed cuff, a detachable hood and leather elbow patches (we’re big fans of elbow patches). Some of the internal pockets are also positioned in a certain way so that they can be accessed more easily whilst riding a bike. You’ll certainly look the part next to your bicycle. (Oipolloi).

Fracap Scarponcini Boots @ EndClothing

Winter has already hit us hard, snow everywhere, which means cold and damp feet and people struggling to stay on their feet whilst commuting to work. The Fracap Scarponcini boot is the answer to your problems. The combination of unsurpassed quality and a classic ‘hiking boot’ design have made it one of the styles to have this season. The boots are handmade in Italy with a full (premium) leather lining and each pair features a signed insole by the craftsman who put the boots together.

End have been stocking these for a while and have a great selection of leather and suede boots in different colorways. At £179, the boot comes at an affordable price (yes, we’re not embarrassed to say so) compared to its competitors Diemme and Viberg. Grab yourself a pair while there is still time.

Welcome: Très Bien Shop x Our Legacy

Très Bien Shop’s brand new WELCOME store is opening today in Stockholm. The store is a collaboration between Très Bien Shop and Our Legacy, and will feature  handpicked selections and one-offs from Our Legacy, as well as exclusive pieces from the Malmö based store. The top Swedish independent retailer collaborating with one of the finest Swedish brands can only mean good things and we very much wish we were in Stockholm today for the opening. Here is a link to Google Maps for the location. More pictures on Très Bien Blog.

Stutterheim Raincoats @ Nitty Gritty

Let’s face it the weather is getting pretty bad and isn’t going to improve anytime soon is it? Quite a few brands including Universal Works, Norse Projects (x Elka), Folk have released colorful raincoats recently but if you’re after something a bit more exclusive, then check out the Swedish Stutterheim raincoat. Plain, simple, and understatedly stylish, it’s an updated version of the traditional raincoat worn by generations of Swedish fishermen. The jackets are handmade in Sweden and individually numbered which means they’re really hard to get hold of. The only shop that seems to be stocking them at the moment is the Stockholm based Nitty Gritty Store, very nice store and brand collection. Check it out. (Nitty Gritty).

Tanner Goods @ EndClothing

I think most places are quite a way through the AW10 deliveries and we have been noticing some great product out there. One of our favourites has to be the lads at End clothing in Newcastle. They have introduced some great buys for their current collections as well as bringing on board a healthy amount of top new brands to their brand listing. One I caught a glimpse of the other day was the ‘Tanner Goods’ accessories. Made from vegetable oiled, English bridle American leather (renown for its ageing characteristics) the quality is outstanding. Personal favourite being the card holder, check them out. (EndClothing)

Diemme Roccia Vet Boot

diemme roccia vet boot

Summer is pretty much over; somewhat depressing some might say however we cannot wait for the cold weather to arrive so that we can get kitted out in thick cardigans, jackets and boots. Talking about boots, these two new pairs from Diemme are what we have in mind to keep our feet warm (and look good) this winter.

Diemme is a shoe factory and brand located in Montebelluna, Italy, and founded over two decades ago by the two brothers Denni and Maico. Coming from a town that is a major producer of ski equipment, Diemme are known for using only the best materials and pride themselves in their immaculate craftsmanship. The boots are available in five different color ways and can be purchased in limited numbers from Très Bien Shop.

Folk Autumn/Winter 2010 Video

[VIMEO 13326701]

Here is a video we came across this morning previewing the Folk Autumn/Winter collection. Folk always come up with an original way to promote their upcoming collection, that portrays well their aesthetics and ethos. The short clip was created by Matthew Donaldson. Music in the background is by Zero 7. While we’re talking about Folk, we also noticed a new drop of summer tees & shirts on the website, check it out. The Cut and Sew Necklace Tee is VERY nice. Time To Smarten Up

Apologies on the lack of posts recently, we have been away on our travels enjoying ourselves a little too much. We have been seeing a lot of the cleaner look and we are feeling. Its time to smarten up straight out of the summer with an array of shirts and chinos and having that wool blazer ready for the cold turn at any point. We are big fans of the additions too, trying the polka bow tie look, leather luggage, nice wrist watches (even a pocket watch?) and always those fresh shoes, the red brick sole being a particular favourite with any outfit. Some of our favourite people in this industry show us how easy it is to look sharp and smarten up without looking like a nine to five ‘suit’.

Oliver Spencer doing the clean white collarless shirt with waistcoat inlay. Oh and the look with the brush on the shop front just adds character, top bloke. (Oliver Spencer)

Mark Mcnairy going the whole step with the three piece suit and he looks class, anyone else might of looked like your mum had dresses you for some shit family event but Mr. Mcnairy just looks a class act.
